 Course Description
(no class 5 October due to Open evening, and half term is 26 october 2010

This short course explores meditation. Meditation is the focused attention to promote calm and heightened self awareness and increased energy.
There are many benefits to meditation.

Meditation can - improve concentration and focus
- reduce anxiety and stress
- instil a deep sense of inner peace
- encourage deep relaxation
- enhance creativity
- bring clarity of mind
- increase self awareness
- increase a positive outlook
- soothes the nervous system

All of which can encourage and promote well being and vibrant health for all.


Course Aim
To experience meditation
To enhance ones self awareness
To practise techniques to still the mind
To achieve a greater sense of inner peace
To learn how to hold a focus

There will be two guided visualizations each week on various topics.

 Course Outline
Over the coming weeks through guided visualizations, we will learn how to achieve a balanced peaceful state and how to hold this harmony in every day life.
The course will cover the basics - how to meditate, how to set aside everyday worries, how to use breathing techniques, how to still the mind, awareness of our bodies, the chakra system, our natural world, meditation with colours and crystals, starlight and how the body works on an energetic level.

This course is designed for anyone with a keen interest in self development and is suitable for those new to meditation and equally for more self aware individuals.
